so the season is wrapping up…
so now what to talk about?
it sucks seeing everyone’s status’ and photos being uploaded knowing its still dumping pow everywhere else but here. from this point on: all michigan is getting is rain. bummer.
i gotta find a summer activity. longboarding perhaps? i took a nasty spill last year on one so ive become weary. and we really cant surf here in michigan. i wouldnt surf anyways. fucking sharks.
ill update and chat as much snowboarding as i can in these seemingly hotter days…in the meantime i will daydream of joe sexton and i:

there are too many shaun white fans on tumblr
…to say the least.
i’ll once in awhile type in “snowboarding” into the search engine on tumblr and all that will come up about 80% of the time is f*^&ing shaun white. its like there are so few actual riders or people who are knowledgeable of the scene.
if i mentioned danny davis, joe sexton, jed anderson, nick dirks, lnp, mfm, laura hadar, or other non gold medalist riders- its like im talking to a brick wall. people go blank. and the thing is, shaun isnt the best rider out there. yeah he won gold in pipe… theres so much more to snowboarding than the pipe. as you saw in a previous post, my friend and i got into a discussion about why shaun isnt the best and isnt an icon for snowboarding.
hence…why in my last speech for oral rhetoric, i will be giving a persuasive speech on why shaun white is not the best snowboarder alive.
all’s im saying right now, is all you other shredders out there… post something else besides shaun white in his patriotic doucher american flag pants.

i think i have a cracked or severely bruised rib. this morning when i rolled over on the ribs the wrong way, they made a fabulous cracking noise. and now it hurts to breathe again. time to schedule an appointment with the doctor…but for tomorrow. cause today im going snowboarding.
scratch that last post. i cant move. i got outa bed. felt dizzy, light headed, nauseous from the pain and cant really move without hurting. FUCK.

the next 6 of 7 days. rode the past 3 days. holy sh*t.

so i ended up back out there riding today. after a hard fall on tuesday, i managed up enough steam to ride today. it was too nice out to not go. the season is almost ending, snow is melting, but the sunshine is addicting while on the slopes.
although i was hurt, i ended up practicing my grabs on the tabletop. before i busted out the camera, i took a harrrd fall yet again. i ended up hitting the same spot as before and bruised my sternum even more. took about an hour before i could breathe without pain. but i had two attempts to get these two grab shots.
got ‘em. done & done.
snowboarding the rest of spring break till the snow is gone. PEACE.

I found a video on High Cascade’s YouTube of only girls snowboarding. After watching it I thought to myself “THAT is how I want to snowboard.” I wanted to post it on here, but there were parts I didn’t like and wanted to cut out. I learned how to use iMovie and Garageband, and edited it the way I wanted.
So, here is the version I made. I’m pretty excited about it, so much so that I think I’m going to get into video more.Enjoy!
